Born Stanley Wood Landfair II in Richmond, Virginia, Pack is a graduate of the University of Texas where he studied creative writing under poet and novelist Zulfikar Ghose while on full academic scholarship from the United States Navy ROTC. Pack was the only walk-on member of the 2005 College World Series Champion baseball team. From 2003-2005 he was teammates with 13 soon-to-be major leaguers - under head coach Augie Garrido, the winningest baseball coach in NCAA history. In addition to a Bachelors Degree in English Literature, Pack earned Midshipman of the Month, Student-Athlete of the Month, Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll, three varsity letters, served on the Student-Athlete Advisory Council, made three trips to the College World Series in Omaha, and was twice voted Teammate Of The Year by his teammates.

In 2006, Pack sold his National Championship ring and all his possessions to buy a used motorcycle and begin an indefinite 48 state odyssey, working manual labor gigs across the country. That five year adventure became the subject of his first book, the semi-autobiographical novel Land Of The Free (Harbinger Book Group, 2014).

Before having the opportunity to employ others, Pack worked for many individuals and small businesses across the US. Pack has sold fireworks on the fourth of July, Christmas trees in December, and hand warmers on the streets of Washington DC during wintertime protests. In learning to operate his own businesses remotely, Pack worked for seven years for the McDonald’s restaurant corporation and their franchisees, getting to serve as their legendary company spokesman, in full uniform.

Prior to that, Pack served one year writing articles - as Associate Editor for a legal journal in San Francisco - and two years helping to produce plays - on the production staff of New York City’s world renowned Shakespeare In The Park and The Public Theater.

Concurrently pursuing his passions, Pack volunteered for years with independent unregulated operators all over the country, becoming a trusted authority in cannabis and magic mushrooms amongst those in the industry. After Congressman Andy Harris restricted Washington DC's 2014 Woodrow Pack Landfair Land Of The Free reading 2014 Packman Surfs The Worldcannabis law from allowing regulated sales, rare book and autograph dealers in the nation's capital, under the direction of Landfair's agent, sold over ten thousand autographed copies of Land Of The Free for hundreds of dollars apiece, along with varying gifts of cannabis. The abnormality affected the book's price in other markets, with limited edition red, white and blue paperbacks listing for over $800 on ebay sans cannabis.

In a twist of fate, Pack, who was raised in the suburbs of Washington DC, far from any beach, learned to surf as a boy and grew up renting surfboards in California while visiting his father one or two weeks a year - only as a result of his parents' divorce when he was four years old. Thirty years later, in 2017, Pack purchased El Porto Surf Shop and moved to El Porto, California where he enjoys surfing and writing everyday.

Pack's intention as a business owner is to be the best leader, student, and teacher he can to his employees, in order to genuinely and enthusiastically provide valuable goods and service to individuals and community, to the best of his ability - for the betterment of himself and all involved. Pack's goals are to surf, write, travel, grow, raise a principled family, and to keep spreading positive vibes, running soulful independent businesses until the day he dies.
