Two of El Porto's oldest businesses, born together - a convenience and liquor store since 1963, with a full-service surf shop added in 1996 - El Porto Surf Shop and Player's Liquor. Holding it down and raising positive vibes in El Porto. Open 365 days a year. 6:30am til midnight, til 2am weekends. Upstairs open after dark by request when needed. 

• Our Mission

To serve and to celebrate the people who surf, visit, live and work in El Porto, California - the 14 by 3 block beachside neighborhood that includes Los Angeles County's most-surfed beach, 2 hotels, a dozen restaurants, 4 bars, 2 coffee shops, 2 yoga studios, 2 barber shops, 3,000 residents and a variety of salons - 11 minutes from Los Angeles International Airport (see map/postcard).

To always make El Porto the most fun, the most friendly, and most remarkable place to live and visit along the Los Angeles coast.

To give El Porto the attention and care it deserves as the most-surfed beach in Los Angeles County, and as an historic surf town with an outlaw heritage - a destination and mixing place for locals and people from around the world.
